Mental Health- How Can I Get Some Sleep? I Have Insomnia So Bad?
Question by Gabesky: Mental Health- How can I get some sleep? I have insomnia so bad?
I’m diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder with psychosis, and Insomnia. I am on 100mg Zoloft in the Morning, Xanax XR as needed (start tomorrow) and at night i take 100mg Seroquel XR and 200mg Trazodone. I was on ambien and it helped and then stopped after a month so my doctor put me on Trazodone. She told me to expiriment between 50mg to 200mg to see what helps best and I tried 100 and was still up so I took 200 and I still am up. I slept maybe 4 hours last night. I really want to get a good nights rest but I just can’t. Idk what to do. I can’t afford brand name Lunesta which is the other med she talked about.
Well jacob if i could just stay awake and then fall asleep after a day or two then i obviously wouldn’t be diagnosed with insomnia. I can’t sleep that is what this question is about. don’t answer a question if you don’t have a clue on the answer.

You can talk to your doctor about other sleeping medications. There are a lot out there… if your problem is primarily falling asleep rather than staying asleep, a med that is similar to ambien and lunesta called Sonata (zaleplon) might help. It has a shorter duration but more rapid onset. You have to take it right before you lie down because it works so fast.

Your brain will fail if you dont get proper rest. I do not know how much your medicines are costing you right now or how long you had this problem but please please please research “Mannatech” and tell me if you will give it a shot. I have not yet met anyone who did not find this beneficial for their disorder/illness. Please believe me, I just want to help you. I wish you the best of luck., and rest.
