How Can I Get Rid of My WOW Addiction?
Question by Chao L: How can i get rid of my WOW addiction?
Please do not answer me if you have never played WoW before because you dont know how it is like to be addicted to WoW. It’s a whole different level of gaming addiction.
I started playing WOW couple weeks ago and i found my self to be addicted. I pulled all nighters everyday, skipped class at my university for the past week, stopped showering, ordered pizza every single day and stopped my favorite activity in the world, basketball. Just like an extreme Wow addict.
Today, i have decided to delete Wow from my computer. I dont even know if this is going to help and im dreading that by uninstalling will not help my addiction since i could reinstall anytime.
I need advice from people who has fought off the addiction and share with me how to conquer this addiction. Please do not say just stop playing it because its not that easy(all you WoWers know what im talking about).
Yes, feel free to say i have no life, because it is true, i have no life anymore.

Don’t do it all at once, that might drive you nuts.
First, turn off your computer for one hour a day.
the next week, you can have it on, but no WOW.
A week later, start two hours a day.
Followed by a week where it can be on for that time but no WOW.
It’s like weaning off of drugs. Cold turkey can be hard, and doesn’t work for some people. Wean yourself slower, and you may have better luck.

You just step away from the puter or have a friend take it. Are you really going to mess up college for a Wow? Snap out of it! It is that easy! You dont want that answer because you dont want help.
